Grading Point System
From purple belt, in order to progress to the next belt, one must have a minimum number of points. Points may be accumulated and stored, but will erase after 5 years if they were not used.
Points will be registered only if earned while being in same rank. (If an athlete earned 12 points while being in Brown belt, he may not tranfer the extra 2 points to the next rank).
Keeping registry of points is the responsibility of the local association, at the end of each calender year, the organization will send a full list of names and points of its members and how were they aquired, to the WPO general secretary.
In some cases, the country official representative may recommend to award a rank, even if the athlete does not have the needed amount of points - final WPO ranking comittee will make the final decision.
